===================================DISCLAIMER================================== I have decided not to allow websites other than Gamefaqs (www.gamefaqs.com), IGN (faqs.ign.com) & Gamespot (www.gamespot.com) to host my FAQs from now on. Please don't ask, because I will not grant permission. It's just that too many sites don't keep their version of my FAQ up to date which makes for a lot of hassle in my mailbox. So if anyone sees this FAQ on any site other than those mentioned above, please let me know and I will take care of the situation, thanks. Just to make things crystal clear for some people, this FAQ is not to appear anywhere at the following URLs: http://www.cheatcc.com http://www.cheatindex.com This document Copyright 2005,2017 Daniel Engel =============================================================================== Pictionary FAQ [Version: Riv] November 30, 2017 Daniel (DEngel) Engel dan.engel.2017 [AT] gmail [DOT] com ############################################################################### (A) TABLE OF CONTENTS ############################################################################### Table of Contents (A) This Table of Contents (B) Controls (C) The Game (D) Minigames (E) Answer List (F) Thanks (G) Experimental ############################################################################### (B) CONTROLS ############################################################################### The controls for this game are very simple, and are as follows: D-Pad - Moves the cursor. A - Enter letters. B - Erase letters. Start - Start the game, confirm menu choices. Select - Change menu options. ############################################################################### (C) THE GAME ############################################################################### There isn't really much to say, the game is based on the Pictionary board game. Both players start on the same square on the board and the first team attempts to draw a picture based on a clue. If his team correctly guesses the clue, then this team gets to roll the dice and advance along the board. If the team fails to guess correctly, then the other team gets a chance to draw and guess. The game plays much in this way until a team reaches the final square on the board and successfully guesses the clue to win the game. The squares on the board have different colours, and the colour decides which minigame you will play. Otherwise there are 3 possible modes that you can play, which are described below. ------- Regular ------- In this mode you get to play a minigame against a timer on each turn. Each time you do something correct in these minigames you will reveal one piece of a drawing [each drawing is a 6x8 size and has 48 pieces to it] If you do something wrong in the minigame, then you will lose a chunk off of your timer. Once you fully reveal the drawing, run out of time, or press start to abort the minigame you will reach the next screen. At this point you are given the number of letters for the clue and you must correctly guess the clue within 45 seconds, based on how much of the drawing you revealed from the minigame. After all of this has taken place, the game resumes like normal. ----------- Alternative ----------- In this mode the game doesn't give you ANY clues and there are no minigames. Each team makes up their own clues and starts to draw them manually [be sure to try the drawing practice mode before playing this mode]. The drawing team guesses the drawing until they get the clue correct or run out of time. You then choose the winning team [if any] with 'select' and the game continues in the usual way. ---------------- Drawing Practice ---------------- Here you get to try your hand at drawing without the pressures of a timer or another team. Simply use 'A' to start drawing in a straight line, while you turn your drawing tool with left/right on the dpad. If you use 'B' you will move the drawing tool forward without drawing. Finally, you can use 'select' to erase the last line that you made and press 'start' to exit back to the main screen. ############################################################################### (D) MINIGAMES ############################################################################### There are 4 minigames in Pictionary, and each one is described with some strategies below. -------------- Paint Invaders -------------- This minigame is like a slightly altered version of the game Space Invaders. The difference is that you fire downwards at the aliens and you can have a maximum of 2 shots on the screen at any given time. Fire rapidly and move constantly while keeping an eye on the enemies' green shots. ------------ Box Delivery ------------ This is one of the easiest minigames to win and basically involves moving boxes from the left side of the screen to the right side. There are 2 green enemies that bounce around the room diagonally, and they are the hazards that you want to avoid. They can't hurt your player directly, but if they touch one of your boxes, then you will lose that box AND a chunk from your timer. For this reason you should NEVER stack your boxes to the highest, which is 5 boxes tall. The more boxes that you stack, the slower your player moves and the more likely it is that his stack will get hit by the enemies. A stack that is 4 boxes tall is rarely useable but sometimes you'll see that the enemies are bouncing just right to let you sneak it across. I recommend sticking with stacks of 1-2 boxes when you first start out. Otherwise you should be just fine with stacks 3 boxes high most of the time. As far as controls go, you use the dpad to move the player across the screen. You use up/down on the dpad at the left side of the screen to build your stack. ------------- Space Mission ------------- In this game you're moving and jumping to collect blue spheres. The sphere only appears in one of 6 possible locations 1. Left end on the ground. 2. Middle of the ground. 3. Right end on the ground. 4. On the left pillar. 5. On the middle pillar. 6. On the right pillar. Collect the spheres while avoiding the aliens that bounce out of the two pipes between the pillars. ----------- Fire Rescue ----------- This is the only minigame where it's IMPOSSIBLE to avoid every hazard, which tends to make it harder than the others at times. This also means that you get to play god and decide which people's lives are worth more and who is worth saving and who will be left painting the pavement. If it's any consolation, the game treats people that you miss from the second floor the same as those you miss from the first floor. Basically you control a pair of firemen on the ground with a net. You need to move back and forth and catch the jumping people above on the net to reveal a piece of the drawing. You will see people appear in a window before they climb out and jump, so you have a bit of warning. Sometimes more than one person will come out of the same window, one right after the other, so watch for it. Otherwise you want to keep moving and watch the windows so you know where you need to be next. Some people WILL hit the ground and there's nothing that you can do about it, but try to move so that there's as few of these misses as possible. eg: If there's 3 people about to fall on the left side of the screen but one has appeared on the far right, you shouldn't go right to get that single person as the other three fall. Instead, you should save the three people on the left and ignore the single person on the right. ############################################################################### (E) ANSWER LIST ############################################################################### Below is a list of the answers to all the drawings in the game. Unfortunately, it's not possible to reproduce all the drawings here in text art, but I do have an image solution with all of these drawings at http://www.gamefaqs.com and http://faqs.ign.com . ---------------- One Word Answers ---------------- NO UP ARM ASK AXE BAT BIG BOW BOX CAT CUP DOG EAT EGG EYE FAN FIN FLY GAP GUN HAT JUG KEY LIP MUG ODD JAR JET PEG PEN PIG PIN SAD SAW SEE SUN TON VAN BALD BEAK BELL BELT BITE BLOW BOLT BOMB BONE BOOK BOOT CANE CARD CHIN CLAM CORK CRAB CUBE DART DEEP DICE DOOR DOWN DRIP DUCK EDGE FACE FANG FISH FIST FLAG FOLD FORK FULL GOLF GONG GRIN HEEL HOOK IDEA INCH IRON JUMP KICK KITE KNEE LAVA LEFT LENS LOOP MAIL MALE MAST MAZE MOON NAIL NECK NOSE OVAL PALM PATH PIPE PLUG ROOF ROOT ROPE SAFE SAIL SCAR SHIP SHIN SIGN SING SKIS SOCK SOFA SPOT STOP SWAN TALK TALL TENT THIN TREE WELL WEST WIDE WING WINK WOLF ANGLE ANKLE ANVIL APPLE ARROW BEARD BLANK BROOM CABIN CHAIN CHAIR CHEEK CLOWN COLON CRACK CROSS CROWN DREAM DRESS DRINK EAGLE ELBOW EMPTY FENCE GHOST GLOBE HAPPY HEART HOUSE IGLOO JAPAN JOKER KNIFE LABEL LAPEL LARGE LAUGH MEDAL MONEY MOUTH MUSIC NOOSE NORTH PANDA PATCH PEACE PETAL PIANO PIVOT POINT POUND PRISM PUNCH QUACK RIFLE RIGHT ROBOT ROUND RULER SCALE SHARK SHOUT SKULL SMALL SMELL SMILE SMOKE SNAIL SOUTH SPOON SPRAY STRAW SWORD TEPEE THICK THINK THUMB TRUNK TWINS UNZIP WHALE WHEEL WITCH ANCHOR APACHE BANANA BARREL BOTTLE BUCKLE BULLET CACTUS CAMERA CANDLE CANNON CASTLE CENTER CHEESE CHURCH COLLAR COMEDY CONVEX COOKIE CORNER DIVIDE DOLLAR ERASER ESKIMO FAUCET FEMALE FINGER FLOWER FUNNEL GRAPES HAMMER HELMET ICICLE KITTEN LADDER LAUNCH LISTEN LOCKET MAGNET MEDIUM MIDDLE MUSCLE ONEWAY PENCIL PERIOD PILLAR PIRATE PLANET POISON PROFIT PUZZLE RABBIT RECORD ROCKET SADDLE SALUTE SHIELD SHOVEL SHOWER SICKLE SQUARE STAIRS STEREO STILTS STRIPE SWITCH TARGET TENNIS TOILET TONGUE TROPHY TURTLE ZIPPER ANTENNA BALLOON BARBELL BIGFOOT CHIMNEY CONCAVE CUPCAKE CYCLOPS EARMUFF EARRING EYEBALL FEATHER GONDOLA GRENADE ICEBERG KEYHOLE KEYRING KNUCKLE LADYBUG LIGHTER MAILBOX MISSILE MONSTER NECKTIE OVERLAP PADLOCK PELICAN PERCENT PULLTAB PUMPKIN PYRAMID QUARTER SAUSAGE SHALLOW SHERIFF SNORKEL SNOWMAN STINGER VAMPIRE VOLCANO WHISPER WHISTLE CASSETTE CEMETERY CHAINSAW CUFFLINK DIAGONAL DIAMETER DINOSAUR DOGHOUSE DOMINOES DOORBELL DOORSTEP DYNAMITE ELEPHANT ELEVATOR ENVELOPE FLAGPOLE FOOTBALL GOLDFISH HANDBALL HEADBAND INFINITY LOLLIPOP MOUNTAIN MULTIPLY MUSHROOM NECKLACE NEGATIVE OVERBITE POSITIVE POSTCARD QUESTION RICOCHET SCISSORS SHOELACE SHOULDER STARFISH SUITCASE SURROUND TEARDROP TIMEBOMB TRIPLETS TROMBONE UMBRELLA UNICYCLE UPSTAIRS VERTICAL WINDMILL BLOCKHEAD BOOMERANG BUMBLEBEE BUTTERFLY CHECKMARK CIGARETTE DIFFERENT DIRECTION HAMBURGER HONEYCOMB HORSESHOE HOURGLASS LAMPSHADE LAUNCHPAD LIGHTBULB MEGAPHONE NORTHEAST NORTHSTAR NORTHWEST PARACHUTE PERISCOPE RECTANGLE SCARECROW SIDEBURNS SOUTHEAST SOUTHWEST STOPLIGHT SUBMARINE SWORDFISH TELEPHONE BINOCULARS CLOVERLEAF DOWNSTAIRS DRAWBRIDGE FINGERNAIL FLASHLIGHT FOOTPRINTS HELICOPTER HORIZONTAL PAINTBRUSH SKATEBOARD SUNGLASSES TABLESPOON TOOTHBRUSH CATERPILLAR LOUDSPEAKER SCREWDRIVER THERMOMETER WHEELBARROW CHEESEBURGER PERPENDICULAR ---------------- Two Word Answers ---------------- T SHIRT YO YO BIG BEN BIG HAND BOW TIE CUE BALL EYE PATCH FIG LEAF FLY SWATTER FOR SALE ICE SKATE PEG LEG SIX OCLOCK SKI JUMP TEA KETTLE TOP HAT COAT HANGER DEAD BOLT FIRE HYDRANT FOUR EYES HALF HOUR KNEE PAD LEFT HAND PING PONG PUNK ROCKER SHOE BOX SLOT MACHINE TAPE MEASURE WINE GLASS BRICK WALL BULLS EYE CANDY CANE CROSS EYED EIGHT BALL FIRST FLOOR GREAT BRITAIN LASER BEAM MORSE CODE NORTH POLE PAINT CAN PAPER CLIP RIGHT HAND SHORT JUICE SOUTH POLE STICK FIGURE TEDDY BEAR THIRD FLOOR WRIST WATCH BOTTLE CAP BROKEN HEART BUBBLE GUM CREDIT CARD FLOPPY DISK LITTLE HAND RABBIT EARS ROLLER SKATE SAFTEY PIN (must be spelled this way to be correct) SECOND FLOOR SPIDER WEB SPIKED HEEL SQUARE INCH TOILET PAPER TUNING FORK UPSIDE DOWN DIAMOND RING EYEBROW PENCIL FISHING POLE PICTURE FRAME ELECTRIC GUITAR ICECREAM CONE SHOOTING STAR CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTNING ROD QUOTATION MARKS TELEPHONE POLE ------------------ Three Word Answers ------------------ HOT AIR BALLOON TIC TAC TOE TWO LEFT FEET BALL AND CHAIN FOUR O CLOCK ----------------- Four Word Answers ----------------- JACK IN THE BOX ############################################################################### (F) THANKS ############################################################################### Huge thanks go out to the following contributors. Mainly as a small experiment since a few other FAQ authors have also had the same idea. I had a few people email me before I put this link in because they wanted to send money, so it's here for those people. For the record I've received about $87 (which works out to a bit more in Canadian lol) last I checked, so I've been getting cases of pop and making some excellent progress on a few FAQs. If you don't want to send money or can't then send me an email, it's nice to hear what people thought about my work and there's always room for improvement. My email address and paypal address for those that want to contribute are both dan.engel.2017 (AT) gmail (DOT) com Many thanks, and I hope you continue to use my work! ~Dan
